  • Beyoncé Drops Stunning Lion King-Themed Music Video for 'Spirit'

    Beyoncé has done it again.
The singer, legend, icon, superstar, released the official music video for the new original song "Spirit" from the upcoming remake of  "The Lion King" and fans are losing their minds, it is gorgeous with an array of majestic backgrounds.
The video sees Queen Bey switching through a variety of flowing costume changes.  It is gloriously vibrant and visually masterful, located in the midst of the desert (undoubtedly meant to represent Africa, where The Lion King is set).
The video is just so beautiful including Beyoncé, of course which makes it quite hard to pay attention to the lyrical content.

“Spirit” is a track off the upcoming album The Lion King: The Gift, which Beyoncé both produced and curated.
The album, to be released on the same day as the movie, is a 14-track accompaniment to the film, so it's almost like a bonus Beyoncé album.
In an interview with ABC ahead of the video's release, she called the album a "love letter to Africa."
"I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa and not just use some of the sound and did my own interpretation of it.  I wanted it to be authentic to what is beautiful about the music in Africa," she said.
“We’ve kind of created our own genre and I feel like the soundtrack is the first soundtrack where it becomes visual in your mind. The soundscape is more than just the music because each song tells the story of the film.”
It's not just talk. In addition to popular American artists like Kendrick Lamar and Childish Gambino, the album features musicians from Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon and South Africa.
Beyoncé is voicing Nala in the upcoming CGI reboot of The Lion King.

Blue Ivy Carter also makes a couple of appearances in the music video which makes us love this visual even more!  In pretty wavy red hair she is every bit the adorable beauty reflective of her mother.
Alongside a variety of dancers, she is also featured on the upcoming album, The Lion King is a family experience, after all.

  • Living Emotions

There are moments I dream of stepping out of my emotions,

on some days I long to hold on and savour the present, unquestionably they affirm,  I am a living being.

I am a woman constantly  impacted by feelings. I am sure you will agree with me right now, with every breath one takes, emotions are making their presence known.

    Feelings too numerous to name.

Some I have encountered have never had a title, yet I know they live because they have intercepted the environment of my emotions. “I felt them”, I have owned them, they are personal to me.   I am sure if we get talking you may have walked there too, having said that, it could be argued in innocence, they have never been there.

I am told everything we feel as women has been recorded, books, magazines, journals, the media, they all shout out, that they know what I have felt!  I would argue the case, if I could have found the answer to my current emotional state the prescription found would have brought me back to a sound emotional state.

So here begins my journey exploring the emotions of a woman from birth to my current age to the nearest decimal point.

As far back as my memory can recall, recovering pictures stored within the walls of my
mind, the remarkable ability to spontaneously go back in time to when I was a child, every recall has
an attachment of a living emotion clinging to it.
Even at a young sensitive age, when the awareness kicked in that there were differences in the
closest of proximity with that of my biological sisters, family and the many friends and strangers I
was to encounter, suddenly I found myself feeling inferior and not being comfortable with who I was.

Questioning ones appearance which would encompass intricate details down to my chiselled
features.  Questions of the young innocent mind of a girl child unaware of ones unique and distinct
beauty, born with the perfect skin colour pigmentation, texture of hair, body frame, intellect, only
now with age and time do I realise I was as perfect as perfect could be.
No human mind could pen the blue print of my formation in my mother’s womb, possibly like you.
I learned to question the growing image that looked back at me from the mirror, who’s emotions were

shaped by the daily occurrences life was to serve on my plate.
I had failed to make the connection, to accept that there is only ever to be one like me.  I had already missed the
positive emotions of being content with who I was. Our world surrounds us with the attachment and
bonding with negative emotions, we kind of adjust to settled acceptance that is how life is
destined to be. NO! No! No! I say, life is yours to live in the beauty that is overshadowed by
occurrences that we think define us.
You know why I can tell you this because those living emotions have not grown old, if I choose to go
back in years, I can pick them up and wear them and they will be as real today as they were
    yesterday.

So I will tell you that with age comes experience.  I now know how beautiful and perfect I am in my
unique individuality, how unique and perfect you are.  I would like to get you to think about your
emotions growing up, what ever age you are as you read this script, you are uniquely beautiful,
perfectly made, flaws you think you may have and would like to change stop and appreciate you,
yes you, hold your head up in the confidence with the gift of life that was awarded to the beautiful
    woman you are.

  • Woman Rise

Harness my magic and get aligned with my whole self

Become the internal reservoir that empowers my eternal reality

Find the balance by laying hold of that which I do control

The outer is captivity while the inner gives me mastery and with that I can enter the realm of divine intervention

Release the realities that weigh me down

Allow my focus to build from a place I can visualise through

    Elevate my thinking

Hold on in faith and push through

I was born with other dimensional perspectives,

    A higher knowing

I unlearn the programs that disable my firm foundation

I am not a passenger in my reality, I own and have the keys

Submerge the toxic trauma, it is my ability to rise,

    To seek my inner temple

    To sanctify and purge

    To conquer

    To Believe

    As I know...

take ownership and RISE beyond the tide

    Within there is enough

    I AM Enough

    I AM WOMAN

  • 10 HAPPY TIPS! (Habits of a Happy Woman)

    1. SHE WAKES UP EARLY:

Did you know you are more likely to have a happier and more successful day, just by waking up a bit earlier and getting out of bed? Sometimes life is exhausting or we stay up way too late – and our bodies need rest. But happy people regulate their sleep well, get 7-8 hours of sleep and wake up refreshed and ready for a new day.

    2. SHE FINDS HER SMILE:

And she finds it daily. After you wake up and hop in the bath/shower – do something that makes you feel good. Find your smile within the early stages of waking up – whether you turn on the radio, pray/meditate, cruise Social Media or have the perfect hair day! Find your smile and wear it ALL day long.

    3. SHE SEES BEYOND IMPERFECTIONS:

Happy women understand that life isn’t going to be flawless. They don’t judge others – in fact, they love almost everyone they come in contact with. They look for the good in their co-workers, their family members and even in themselves.

    4. SHE PATS HERSELF ON THE BACK:

We aren’t supposed to be too prideful – nobody wants to hang out with someone too into themselves. BUT – happy women are proud of what they do. They recognise when they accomplish something. They finish what they start. And they are always trying to become better.

    5. SHE GETS MOVING:
As much as I would love to lay in bed and watch my favourite show re-runs all day in pyjamas – as a woman, we just can’t do that (at least not all the time). Get up, start moving and get your heart rate up. Go for a walk or run around the block. Go to the gym or do an at-home workout. After you get your body moving – I promise, you won’t regret it. “Man, I wish I didn’t work out,” said no one ever.

    6. SHE IS HER OWN FRIEND:
We can be our own worst enemy or our own best friend – it is up to US to decide. Don’t let your mind bring you down or tell you not to be happy. You deserve to find joy. Happy people are their own best friend. They are proud of who they are and have confidence in what they do every day. Love the person in the mirror and think positively about yourself.

    7. SHE SURROUNDS HERSELF WITH HAPPY PEOPLE:
It is true that your environment around you can make you who you are. Did you know if you are constantly with negative people, you are more likely to become negative too? We each rub off on each other and other people’s attitudes can truly affect ours.
Be around those who uplift you and make you feel better.

    8. SHE IS GRATEFUL:
Happy women rarely take a day for granted. They recognise that every day is a blessing. They don’t use the word “luck” – they know that everything happens for a reason and they are blessed. Count your many blessings – name them one by one.

    9. SHE HAS LEARNED TO SLOW DOWN:
As women, often times we feel like we have so much to do. Give yourself a break. Take the time to smell the roses. Don’t feel like you need to do everything in one day. Happy women don’t compare themselves to others. They know who they are and they do their things at their own paces. Do what is best for you.

    10. SHE MAKES THE BEST OUT OF EVERYTHING:
“The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. Find a way to focus on the up side and incorporate good habits to help you! We really do have two choices in every situation – choose the high road – smile, laugh and make the best of it.
Happy women don’t have the best of everything – they just make the best of everything
